This is the easiest, creamiest whipped feta dip you will make. It comes together in under five minutes, delivering a tangy, savory flavor perfect for any party or quick snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces block feta cheese, drained
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt (or sour cream for extra richness)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, plus more for drizzling
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch of sea salt (taste first, feta is salty)
  • Optional garnish: Fresh dill or chives, extra olive oil, red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Place the drained feta cheese, softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, minced garlic, and lemon juice into a food processor.
  2. Process the ingredients until the mixture is completely smooth and airy. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides once or twice. This usually takes 1 to 2 minutes.
  3. Taste the dip. Add black pepper and adjust salt if needed. If you want it tangier, add a few more drops of lemon juice.
  4. Transfer the whipped feta dip to a shallow serving bowl. Use the back of a spoon to create a slight swirl or well in the center.
  5. Drizzle the top generously with extra olive oil. Garnish with fresh herbs or red pepper flakes, if using.
  6. Serve immediately with pita bread, crackers, or fresh vegetables for an easy appetizer.

Notes

  • For a sweet and savory twist, drizzle with honey or hot honey before serving. This is a fantastic flavor combination.
  • If you do not have a food processor, you can use a high-powered blender, but the texture may take slightly longer to achieve maximum creaminess.
  • You can make this dip ahead of time. Store it covered in the refrigerator for up to three days. Let it sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes before serving for the best texture.
  • To make this a Mediterranean Dip, top with chopped Kalamata olives or sun-dried tomatoes after whipping.
