- 8 slices sandwich bread
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, dried parsley, and salt. Mix until fully combined.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over one side of each slice of bread.
- Arrange the bread slices, butter-side up, on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 5 minutes until the edges start to lightly brown.
- Remove the sheet from the oven. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the buttered side of each slice. Top with the Parmesan cheese.
- Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for another 5 to 7 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For crispier edges, you can briefly broil the bread for the last minute, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- You can substitute cheddar cheese for mozzarella if you prefer a sharper flavor.
- If you do not have fresh garlic, use 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder in the butter mixture.
