Make this simple, creamy sausage cheese dip in your slow cooker for parties or game days. This recipe is easy to prepare and always a crowd favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (10 ounce) can Ro-Tel diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
  • 1 (16 ounce) package processed cheese product (like Velveeta), cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Cook the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until fully browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Transfer the cooked sausage to a small slow cooker.
  3. Add the cream of mushroom soup, Ro-Tel, cubed cheese product, and milk to the slow cooker.
  4. Stir all ingredients together until combined.
  5. Cook on low for 2 to 3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes, until the cheese is completely melted and the dip is smooth and hot.
  6. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or bread pieces.

Notes

  • For a slightly healthier option, use turkey sausage instead of pork sausage.
  • If you do not have a slow cooker, you can combine all ingredients in a saucepan and heat over low heat, stirring often, until melted and smooth.
  • You can prepare this dip ahead of time and reheat it slowly in the slow cooker when ready to serve.
