Ingredients
Scale
1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon blackened seasoning blend
8 small corn or flour tortillas
4 cups shredded cabbage mix
1/2 cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons lime juice, divided
1 teaspoon chipotle powder
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Pat the salmon dry and rub it with olive oil and blackened seasoning.
Place the seasoned salmon in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily.
While the salmon cooks, prepare the slaw: In a bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, 1 tablespoon of lime juice, salt, and pepper. Toss well.
Prepare the crema: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise or yogurt, remaining 1 tablespoon of lime juice, and chipotle powder until smooth.
Warm the tortillas according to package directions (microwave or dry skillet).
Flake the cooked salmon into pieces using a fork.
Assemble the tacos: Layer the warm tortillas with flaked salmon, top with the zesty slaw, and drizzle with the chipotle-lime crema. Garnish with cilantro.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a squeeze of fresh lime juice over the salmon after it comes out of the air fryer.
If you do not have blackened seasoning, use paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
Use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise in the crema for a lower-fat option.
