Ingredients
Scale
4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, dried thyme, salt, pepper, and minced garlic to create the glaze.
Rub the chicken thighs with olive oil. Place the thighs skin-side up in a baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
Brush half of the maple Dijon glaze evenly over the chicken thighs.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Remove the chicken from the oven and brush the remaining glaze over the thighs.
Return the chicken to the oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius) and the skin is nicely browned and slightly crisp.
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a crispier skin, you can finish the last 2 minutes under the broiler, watching closely to prevent burning.
You can pan-sear the chicken first until the skin is golden, then finish it in the oven with the glaze.
Serve this dish with roasted Brussels sprouts or mashed potatoes.
If you prefer a stronger flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder to the glaze mixture.
