Make a refreshing, coffee shop style iced caramel swirl coffee at home using strong coffee and a homemade or store-bought caramel sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee or cold brew concentrate, chilled
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce, plus extra for drizzling
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Prepare your coffee by brewing it strong and chilling it completely.
  2. In a separate small bowl, mix the 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce with the simple syrup, if using.
  3. Take a tall glass. Drizzle the caramel mixture around the inside walls of the glass to create the swirl effect.
  4. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  5. Pour the chilled coffee over the ice.
  6. Pour the milk over the coffee.
  7. Stir gently to combine the coffee and milk without completely disrupting the caramel streaks on the side.
  8. Top with an extra drizzle of caramel sauce before serving immediately.

Notes

  • For a thicker swirl, use a thicker caramel topping or slightly warm the caramel sauce before drizzling it inside the glass.
  • If you prefer a stronger coffee flavor, use espresso shots instead of brewed coffee.
  • Substitute dairy milk with oat milk or almond milk for a non-dairy version.
