- 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets, skin on or off
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound asparagus spears, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create the garlic butter sauce.
- Place the salmon fillets on one side of the prepared baking sheet. Brush half of the garlic butter mixture evenly over the tops of the salmon fillets.
- Toss the trimmed asparagus with the olive oil, salt, and pepper on the other side of the baking sheet.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time depends on the thickness of your fillets.
- Remove from the oven. Drizzle the remaining garlic butter sauce over the hot salmon before serving immediately with the roasted asparagus.
Notes
- For extra moisture, place a thin slice of lemon on top of each salmon fillet before baking.
- If you prefer a crispier top, briefly place the salmon under the broiler for the last 1-2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
- This recipe pairs well with quick-cooking sides like steamed rice or roasted small potatoes.
