Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces Boursin cheese (or soft herbed cheese)
  • 4 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 pint cherry or grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Crostini or baguette slices, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease an 8-inch pie dish or small oven-safe skillet.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, Boursin cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and dried oregano. Mix until the ingredients are fully combined and smooth. This forms your creamy base.
  3. Spread the cheese mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is hot and slightly bubbly around the edges.
  5. While the cheese bakes, prepare the topping. In a separate small bowl, combine the halved tomatoes, chopped fresh basil, minced garlic, and olive oil. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Mix gently.
  6. Remove the baked cheese base from the oven. Spoon the fresh tomato mixture evenly over the hot cheese layer.
  7. Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the top of the dip.
  8. Serve the hot dip immediately with toasted crostini or baguette slices for scooping.

Notes

  • You can prepare the creamy cheese base and the tomato topping separately up to one day ahead. Store them covered in the refrigerator. Assemble and bake just before serving.
  • If you prefer a baked topping, you can roast the tomatoes with the cheese base for the last 10 minutes of baking time.
  • This dip is excellent served with sturdy crackers or vegetable sticks if you need gluten-free serving options.
