Ingredients
Scale
1/2 cup popcorn kernels
2 tablespoons coconut oil or vegetable oil
1 tablespoon dill pickle juice
1 teaspoon dried dill
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
Optional: a pinch of citric acid for extra tang
Instructions
Place popcorn kernels and oil in a brown paper lunch bag.
Fold the top of the bag over a few times to seal.
Place the bag in the microwave and cook on high for 2-4 minutes, or until popping slows to a few seconds between pops.
Carefully remove the hot bag from the microwave.
In a small bowl, whisk together the dill pickle juice, dried dill, garlic powder, salt, and optional citric acid.
Pour the pickle seasoning mixture over the popped popcorn in the bag.
Close the bag and shake well to evenly coat the popcorn.
Pour onto a serving platter and enjoy immediately.
Notes
Adjust the amount of dill and salt to your preference.
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the seasoning mix.
Ensure the pickle juice is well-mixed into the seasoning to avoid clumping.
