Ingredients
Scale
1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch strips
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
1.5 cups panko breadcrumbs
0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for coating)
1 teaspoon salt
0.5 teaspoon black pepper
0.5 teaspoon paprika
Cooking spray or oil for baking/air frying
For the Dip:
0.5 cup mayonnaise
0.25 cup sour cream
4 cloves garlic, minced
0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for dip)
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon dried parsley
Pinch of salt and pepper
Instructions
Prepare the chicken: Set up a standard breading station with three shallow dishes. Place flour seasoned with salt, pepper, and paprika in the first dish. Place beaten eggs in the second dish. Mix panko breadcrumbs and 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese in the third dish.
Dredge each chicken strip first in the flour mixture, shaking off excess. Dip into the egg mixture, letting excess drip off. Finally, press firmly into the panko mixture to coat completely.
Choose your cooking method: For Oven Baking: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Lightly spray a wire rack set over a baking sheet with cooking spray or oil. Arrange tenders in a single layer. Bake for 18-22 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F/74°C).
For Air Frying: Preheat air fryer to 380°F (195°C). Lightly spray the basket. Cook tenders in a single layer (work in batches if necessary) for 10-14 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy.
Make the dip while the chicken cooks: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, minced garlic, 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth.
Serve the hot, crispy chicken tenders immediately with the garlic parmesan dip.
Notes
For extra crispiness when baking, spray the tops of the coated tenders lightly with cooking oil before placing them in the oven.
If you prefer a tangier dip, increase the lemon juice slightly.
