Ingredients
Scale
4 boneless pork chops (about 3/4 inch thick)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 large egg, beaten
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Pat the pork chops completely dry with paper towels. This helps achieve crispiness.
In a shallow dish, mix the salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Lightly coat the pork chops with this seasoning mix.
Set up a breading station: place flour in the first dish, the beaten egg in the second, and panko breadcrumbs in the third.
Dredge each pork chop first in the flour, shaking off excess. Dip it into the egg, letting excess drip off. Finally, press the chop firmly into the panko breadcrumbs to coat both sides evenly.
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 5 minutes.
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the breaded pork chops in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they do not overlap. You may need to cook in batches.
Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping the chops halfway through the cooking time, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and the coating is golden brown and crispy.
While the chops finish cooking, prepare the garlic butter. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, do not let the garlic brown. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.
Once cooked, immediately brush or spoon the warm garlic butter mixture over the hot pork chops before serving.
Notes
Using panko breadcrumbs provides superior crispiness compared to regular breadcrumbs.
Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cooking in batches promotes better air circulation and crisping.
For the juiciest results, use pork chops that are about 3/4 inch thick.
