A recipe to replicate the creamy, slightly tangy white sauce found in Taco Bell’s Chicken Quesadillas.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, water, and white vinegar in a medium bowl.
  2. Add the onion powder, garlic powder, cumin, salt, paprika, and cayenne pepper to the bowl.
  3. Whisk all ingredients together until the sauce is completely smooth and uniform in color.
  4. Taste the sauce and adjust salt or cayenne pepper if needed for your preference.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the sauce for at least 30 minutes before using to allow the flavors to blend.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, reduce the amount of water slightly.
  • You can substitute plain Greek yogurt for sour cream if you prefer a tangier base.
  • This sauce works well as a dip for fries or other Mexican-style dishes.
