Make simple, crispy salmon patties using your air fryer. This recipe uses canned salmon for quick preparation.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (14.75 ounce) can salmon, drained and skin/bones removed
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, flake the drained salmon with a fork. Remove any remaining bones or skin.
  2. Add the panko breadcrumbs, beaten egg, mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, dill, pepper, and salt to the bowl. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Form the mixture into 6 equal-sized patties, about 1 inch thick.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit (195 degrees Celsius) for 3 minutes.
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the salmon patties in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they do not touch. You may need to cook in batches.
  6. Spray the tops of the patties lightly with cooking spray.
  7. Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping the patties halfway through the cooking time. The patties should be golden brown and heated through.
  8. Remove carefully from the air fryer and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, you can lightly dust the formed patties with a little extra panko breadcrumbs before spraying with oil.
  • If you prefer a tangier flavor, substitute the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt.
  • These patties can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days before cooking.
