Make a quick, high-protein ranch dip using Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise or sour cream. This recipe takes less than five minutes to assemble.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (2% or full fat recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk or water (for thinning, optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the Greek yogurt into a medium bowl.
  2. Add the dried parsley, dill, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
  3. Add the lemon juice.
  4. Stir all ingredients together until they are fully combined and the spices are evenly distributed.
  5. If the dip is too thick for your liking, stir in milk or water one tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
  6. Taste the dip and adjust salt or pepper if needed.
  7. Serve immediately or chill for 15 minutes for flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For a stronger ranch flavor, use 1/2 teaspoon of a pre-made dry ranch seasoning mix instead of individual spices.
  • If you prefer a tangier dip, increase the lemon juice to 1 1/2 teaspoons.
  • This dip pairs well with raw vegetables, pita chips, pretzels, or as a topping for baked potatoes.
